GAME 210 - Contemporary Issues in Esports

3 credits
This course will provide an in-depth exploration of the growing global phenomenon of esports. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the history and evolution of esports, the technological infrastructure and business/economic aspects, legal/ethical considerations, and the cultural implications. Additionally, the course will examine the relationship between esports and traditional sports, as well as esports in the media. Through reading, discussion, and individual research, students will develop critical skills in analyzing and evaluating the current state of esports.
