A Bachelor of Science in Digital Arts and Design prepares graduates for careers as graphic designers, multi-media artists and animators, performers, set/exhibit designers, web designers, and videographers. Students acquire technical skills, training and experiences preparing them to move into the rapidly expanding sectors of New Media Arts and Design, including animation/motion graphics, digital sound production and computer graphics. The program also emphasizes the “soft skills” so desired by New Media Arts and Design, including creativity, team building, critical thinking and problem solving, and an understanding of symbolic communication.

System-wide General Education Requirement (30 Credits)
All majors must take ART 121 as part of the System-wide General Education Requirements. Students who choose the Production Animation specialization must also include THEA 131.

Electives (3 credits)
*Students are strongly encouraged to take BADM 370 Marketing.
Digital Sound Design Specialization (38 Credits)
Students in this specialization must take ART 121 and CSC 150 as part of the general education requirements.
