MATH 437 - Post-quantum Cryptography

3 credits


This course examines cryptographic systems designed to withstand attacks by quantum computers.  Topics include lattices, lattice reduction algorithms, error-correcting codes, learning with errors, post-quantum cryptosystems, and digital signatures.  The course covers the mathematical structures underlying these systems, the implementation of post-quantum cryptography applications, and the challenges and opportunities posed by quantum computing in cryptography. Prerequisite(s): MATH 201   or MATH 251 AND CSC 150  or CSC 170
