HIMS 744 - Data Analytics in Healthcare

3 credits
This course teaches using both administrative and clinical healthcare data to make decisions and transform healthcare delivery and the health of individuals and populations.  The course concentrates on both big and small data, structured and unstructured data, and public secondary data sources.  Tools, applications, and approaches for health care data analytics are taught.  This course covers topics such as statistical approaches and tools, data analysis, and data visualization. Prerequisite(s): INFS 608
