HIM 264 - Healthcare Reimbursement Methodologies

The uses of coded data and health information in reimbursement and payment systems. Reimbursement management and optimization issues will be investigated for both hospital and non-hospital entities. Concepts integrated into laboratory and computer experience utilizing manual and automated encoding/grouping systems. Prerequisite(s): HIM 160  Corequisite(s): HIM 262
